Come See my New Flip Video

It doesn’t take much to get me excited these days. All I need is a sign that says, YouTube, E-mail, Facebook and EASY, and that’s enough to get me to buy my own Christmas present. “Duke, I just purchased my own flip video camera so now you don’t need to buy me anything,” I said to my husband who has a professional camera, but makes it sound so complicated, I’m scared to touch it. He looked at the Flip box, then Googled it for reviews. Imagine what I felt when it received far more positive than negative reviews. Now I can do my own thing without asking my husband for help.

ANNOUNCING THE WINNER OF THE ORGANIZING CONTEST
My second attempt, shorter and different lighting. I cannot seem to edit the fumble at the end. Anyone know how to? The scissors thing didn’t work.

And the winner of the $15 gift certificate is: You’ll have to listen to my video. Sorry!!!! Do you tend to buy your own presents or let your husband/wife purchase them? Next time I’ll make the video shorter, and edit. I’m still learning.

    I enjoyed watching you, and hearing your voice on the little video. It makes it so much more "Up Close and Personal."

    And Congratulations Gulf Gal.

    Congrats to Gulf Gal (or is it Golf Gal)!!
    I loved hearing your voice and listening to the many comments and suggestions.
    I would love a flip camera too. Will be looking to see if they are available here.

    Sonia, thank you so much for choosing me as your organizational winner! Thanks to everyone who has congratulated me, too.

    Your Flip video was great,full of personality Sonia–very clear picture and sound.
    Now I'm thinking of getting one, too!

    Congrats to Golf Gal, and thank you Sonya for the compliments on my suggestion, and hope the top drawer of the filing cabinet works for you.

    My sister also has a Flip Camcorder and LOVES IT. I want to get one too. Where did you get yours? I enjoyed your video, you speak well on camera…

    My Dad is 89. Your family is really a bunch of world travelers, aren't they? How long has your Dad lived in Paris?

    Whoops, I spelled your name wrong, it is Sonia (Gutsy Writer) and forgive me, your blog profile tells us your parents moved you to Paris, so obviously, he is still there!

    Thats fun! I have a flip cam too but have not been using it much lately. They work surprisingly well.

    I'm not the first this time….

    Congrats to GulfGal – from someone who is very unorganized!

    I was really impressed with the quality of picture and sound (and seeing and hearing you for real) — I think the flip camera is a great idea.

    Congratulations to GulfGal! This was a fun contest.

    Congrats to Gulf Gal!
    Sonia it's like to see you on 'tv' 🙂
    I'm not going in front of the camera and publish, never. Not for me.
    I rather support others to the fame.
    Like you! Enjoy! 🙂

    ps. you pronounced my name almost perfect. The E at end is said like the first letter in word 'Every'. Well done!

    I love FLIP too!

    We ordered ours over the internet. I went in 12 shops in Denmark to ask for one and they claimed they don't exist!

    Every time we get ours out people are going "What is THAT?" in amazement and handling it like it is a space rock, because the technology hasn't reached DK. FLIP's are so coooool! And we somehow escaped having to pay the extra taxes normally levied, and this meant our FLIP was the cheap option too 🙂

    Me happy.

    How fun to hear from you this way, Sonia. Congrats to GulfGal. I hope the new organization plan works for you, but don't overstress about it. I tend to follow Patricia's plan of checking periodically and if I haven't needed it out it goes. Looking forward to more video.

    Hi Sonia,

    It's me again. I really liked both videos. I noticed you condensed this one, which is nice if we don't have a lot of time to set and listen, but, since I am retired and snowed in today, I had a lot of time to listen. I love your voice and you are a beautiful lady.

    I made a few videos and posted them on some of my blogs, but, I hate hearing my voice. hee, hee. But, then I suppose we all hate hearing our own voice.

    I guess between the two videos, I kind of liked the first one best, but it is hard to decide, really. Just keep practicing, and next thing we know, you will be directing your movie version of your life in Belize…tee, hee.

    Hey…what happened? I thought you did another video???

    Well done, Sonia! Video was excellent. Lots of fun to see your face and hear your voice. (TV news reader will not give critique.) Must check out the wining suggestions — sounded a bit complex to me. And five categories may work for some, but for a journalist who is always picking up ideas, five categories is just "not on."

    The problem with clutter, essentially, is that you have unrelated stuff piled together. When you can sort the piles meaningfully, you've accomplished the first step. Unfortunately, having a puppy down here means that anything that is less than three feet off the ground is "fair game" to play with. So much for putting piles on coffee table and floor Sigh!! Maybe someday.

    @Gramma Ann
    Thanks for watching.

    @Betty
    I think you can get it on amazon. Bought mine at Costco.

    @GulfGal
    Maybe I should start selling the flip-camera. Just a thought.

    @Donna B
    Got my camera for $130 at Costco. My dad has lived in France from birth to around 23, then he moved to Nigeria, and returned to France around 40, and is still there today at 84.

    @Brenda
    I thought they were brand new. I'd love to see you use yours.

    @LadyFi
    I love seeing your comments, so anytime is fine with me. Thanks.

    @Patricia
    Thanks for the feedback.
    I took off my longer version and placed my shorter one.

    @BLOGitse
    Now I know how to pronounce your name.

    @BABS
    You gave me an idea of what my best friend might want for her birthday, who lives in Denmark.

    @Jeanie
    Thanks for the "not stressing" over it.

    @Jungle Mom
    Hope you get a flip video from Santa.

    @Gramma Ann
    Now you have me curious. I need to find your videos on your blog and hear your voice. Was it a recent post?

    @Donna B
    The video you see now is the shorter version of the original one I had. I also filmed with different lighting in another room.
    That's what I menat.

    @Rob-bear,
    As a TV news reader, I will accept critique, as any tips will only help me. I won't get hurt, as I want to learn. Thanks, also for your nice long e-mail. You do sound extremely busy. Are you still on TV?

    @Nessa
    Thanks Nessa.

    I asked for a Flip video for Christmas, it's all I want. I do hope I get one. You did a great job for your first video, it wasn't too long at all.

    Oh yeah, I saw the previews of that Sandra Bullock movie and it's now on my "must see" list, glad you liked it.

    My funny little video was on August 7, on my "Butterflies and Candles" blog. Go to the labels and click on "Swifter Duster." The video will be there.
    It is nothing compared to yours. The rest are in "My Secret Garden" blog.
