Do you workout on Thanksgiving Day?

My pre-Thanksgiving dinner workout.

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” MARCEL PROUST.

Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. A time to be with family and to reflect on all the positives in your life.

  • Think about all the things you’ve accomplished in your life.
  • Stop worrying that something may happen in the future which prevents you from enjoying this moment.
  • Appreciate who you are and the value that you bring to those in your life.

Here is how I started my Thanksgiving Day.

How about you?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but I’d definitely start it off with a workout or a long walk with the dog!

Hope you had a good day!

We do not celebrate it here but I like the idea of having a good workout before any holiday-think about the calories:)

So that’s how you keep in such wonderful shape! I exercise every day too – cycling, walking, general farm duties. I hate it if I’m stuck indoors all day. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!

      Stephanie,

When we lived in Belize, we walked and cycled everyday. Not like southern California where you go to a gym and drive.
Sometimes I long for that lifestyle again.

Thanks for being such a charming gardener with your blogs !
What a lovely Thanksgiving table, so neat and cosy.
I do a lot of cycling and walking too, but bodybuilding must be the fastest way to achieve one’s goals. Will there be another turkey for Christmas ?

    Carol,

I workout because in California, traffic is horrible on the streets so most people drive instead of walking.

You are a busy lady! I like working out but not in the gym – at beach or at home with my 2kg weights. You’re much more impressive. That bird was big. Hope the boys were home to enjoy it with you:)

Very thankful to have you in my life. Even if only virtually. One day these two worlds will collide:) x A

      Annabel,

Yes, body building and blogging are both time consuming. I used to be more muscular until I lost a little more weight. I know you’re skinny so building muscle takes heavy weights and discipline, just like blogging.
The turkey wasn’t huge, 13 pounds.

Anyway, thanks for being a great online friend and I agree, sooner or later we shall meet.
