Click here if you can’t see my video.

The instructions for this award are as follows:

1) Thank the person who sent the award. [Thanks so much Louise that was a fantastic prize to receive before my mini-break.
a) Copy the award to my blog [Above]
b) Link to their blog [Above]

2) List seven things people don’t know about me:

a). I love boysenberry jam on sharp cheddar cheese. Something my mother had for breakfast in Denmark and now my American son likes too.

b). I get mad when I cannot lift heavy weights at the gym. I refuse to accept age as an excuse.

c). I cover my eyes whenever there is blood and violence in a movie.

d). When I was nine-years-old, my parents sent me to California alone from Paris. The plane refueled in Greenland and after take-off, one engine caught fire. We had to do an emergency landing. I remember the woolen airline blanket rubbing my skin raw as I tried covering my eyes.

e). Faces stay with me forever, but I often forget names.

f). After 24 years in the U.S., I still haven’t bothered to learn the rules of baseball or American football. I guess I’m not interested.

g). I wish I could sing. I admire those who have a voice and can entertain others. You will NEVER hear me sing Karaoke.

3) Nominate seven bloggers for the award

a) Link to those blogs

b) Leave a comment to let them know of their award.

Good for you Sonia!! I will be one of your whip crackers, because I am in the process of investigating doing a book. Back in my younger years, my 30's, I tried publishing articles or stories and got a pile of rejections for my efforts. Now, after all the wonderful comments and encouragement from my blogging friends, I want to pursue it again…only bigger and do a book. So I will crack the whip to help you, and would love it if, when my time comes, you might consider cracking the whip for me. I really need to get one of those Flip video cameras…

Sonia — Good decision on the blogging versus revision process. I've been keeping an eye on your flip camera films and am very tempted to get one. I was telling my husband all about it.

Congratulations on your award, and thanks a whole bunch for including me with these other great bloggers as you pass it on. I am honored.

Sonia, I ask you before in the comment section on how you get your signature on your blog in that neat handwriting….but I can't find the post, where I commented and if you answered me. Would you please email me the directions on how to do it to donnab6464@gmail.com? Thank you so much. Also, what about those blog awards? Someone has to give it to another blogger?? Thanks again…be checking in on you again soon…

I couldn't get sound on your video as I am reading this at an internet cafe and don't quite know how to make it all work. I will come back in the morning and try again. Thank you so much for the award…I may have to wait until I'm home in a few days to attend to it properly for the above mentioned reasons, but I do really appreciate it.

So glad you won't be leaving us entirely! I do enjoy visiting you – although to be frank, I'm not so good at cracking the whip although I could try to entice you with chocolate instead! 😉

Good luck with your final revisions!

    Oh Sonia dear,
    I'm honored, happy, flattered
    of your attention, the award.

But as you know? I don't participate in blog awards.

For me comments and interaction are the best awards I can imagine.

I know you understand, thank you!

    Your book.
    I'm ready – a whip in my right hand! Let's start! 🙂

Ok, I give in accept the award. And I even followed the rules, except I'll let the new award winners know tomorrow because I'm too tired tonight (do you know how long it took me to write that post?!).

Now that I'm back reading I will follow up to see where you are on your revisions. I've told my hubby about you and the background of your blog and I think we'd both love to read the whole story.

I know that I've been dying to read your book, so I'm all about cracking the whip to make sure you're getting it done! Good luck, Sonia! I'm finally out of the dark on my blog, so I'll be around a little more.

I would feel like a hypocrite attempting to crack the whip for you to finish your book when I haven't moved forward on my second film yet.

Hi! Just came across this article about the difficulties of publishing a book and some tips as to what to do about it… I immediately thought of you!

    Great idea!

Love the video clip. It's even got me motivated to think along the same lines seeing as my little 'word counter' has come to a stand still recently.

Sorry, Bear is not into whips, floggings, S&M, or any of that stuff.

    Bear DOES encourage friends.

I'll stick my nose in from time to time, and encourage you. (Anything more than my nose wouldn't fit into your blog.)

If we're lucky, you might post a paragraph or two of your work, for the joy of reading (on our part).

Scary airplane ride and so young.

I can't remember names but I never forget a face.

I wish I could sing too.
