My Italian Lover.

As some of you may know, I recently purchased a video-flip camera and am attempting to become a vlogger.

Last night, my German friend Inge, kindly agreed to record my three-minute DimeStory at a cozy restaurant in Laguna Beach called Picayo’s.

I wrote about DimeStories before, and briefly, it allows writers to share their work in front of an audience, and improve their skills.

Inge did a great job filming, but next time, the camera needs to be a little closer so the built-in microphone can pick up my voice a little better.

Please enjoy and comments are always welcome.

Please visit Rob-bear and his recent post on Christmas (p)resents. You’ll see why?

Nice reading. YOu are very comfortable in front of a camera.

How fun. What a cute piece, and you did such a great job reading, and your friend did a great job with the camera. I could hear you just fine and I have terrible speakers on my laptop.

Well, Sonia, I'd say the audience reaction meant your reading was a success. I certainly enjoyed it and I had to laugh about the Folgers. Though our equipment is not quite that fancy, I prefer my coffee to be a few (if not many) cuts above Folgers and Doc is a Folgers guy all the way. It is not unusual for of us to have two pots brewing in the morning. Great job!

Your video is taking ages to stream and download… Please send me the direct link to YouTube so that I can listen to you!

    Thanks.

I really enjoyed your reading. Like Elizabeth, I have awful speakers on my laptop, but I could hear it perfectly. Great fun!

The link worked. I loved this amusing tale of you and your Italian lover: hot and steamy – just as I like my coffee… 😉

Really enjoyed this…and what a good idea to read out your stories like this. I think it's great to experiment using different media, and have a go at new things. Good on you..and I'll be looking out for more.

    Sonia,

You gave me my first laugh of the day. Fun story — taking an inanimate object and humanizing it a great creative exercise.

I admire your trying out this new medium. I imagine you're having fun with it!

That was so funny, great reading!
Now you know what to do if you need a job – television work!
    Have a good day!
